About Ticker Thoughts

Ticker Thoughts is independent market analysis for individual investors.

No jargon for the sake of it, no price targets pulled from thin air. No agenda, just honest, thorough research on individual companies and macro developments written for people who already know their way around a brokerage account but don't have a research team sitting next to them.

Why this exists

Most financial media falls into one of two camps. The first is too shallow headline-driven, consensus-repeating, written to generate clicks rather than inform decisions. The second is too conflicted, produced by institutions with positions to talk up, advertisers to please, or ratings to protect.

Ticker Thoughts exists to fill that gap. Every piece here is written the way I'd want to read it with a clear thesis, honest risk assessment, and an actual conclusion.

What you'll find here

Stock deep dives: single company analysis built around the one or two things that actually matter for the investment case right now. Not a recap of the income statement or governance issues nobody is talking about.

Macro and thematic pieces: global events mapped to their real equity and commodity implications. Written for investors who want to understand what a development in energy markets, trade policy, or geopolitics actually means for specific names in their portfolio.

What you won't find here

No advertisers. No affiliate deals. No sponsored content. No positions talked up for personal gain, any holding in a stock covered here is disclosed at the bottom of the article.

The writer

Ticker Thoughts is written by me E.S. Solberg, a private investor who got tired of doing all the research and keeping it to himself.

No institutional background. No fund to manage. No compliance department telling me what I can and can't say. Just someone who reads 10-Ks, follows the money, and writes up what he finds.
